Snooker's prestigious Welsh Open ranking event kicks off on February 13 as the world's top players do battle for valuable ranking points and over £200,000 in prize money.

In total, 36 players will head to Newport for the fifth televised ranking tournament of the season all hoping to lay down a marker ahead of the looming World Championships starting in April.
John Higgins is the defending champion and will be hoping to clinch his first ranking title of the season by retaining his crown in Newport this week.
Recent German Masters champion Ronnie O'Sullivan returns to action along with other top stars including Judd Trump, Mark Selby, Shaun Murphy and Neil Robertson
The tournament will take place from February 13-19 at the Newport Centre, Wales, with selected matches being streamed live online.
