In-form O'Sullivan comes into the tournament as the 6/1 joint favourite with Mark Selby. Last year's finalists John Higgins (7/1) and Mark Williams (8/1) are also prominent in the betting while rising star Judd Trump can be backed at 9/1.

The firm make the joint-favourite a 6/4 chance to go home after the second round of matches however leaving the quarter finals another likely stage of elimination at 3/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: "Ronnie is in fine form and there's a real chance he'll make us pay for the second tournament running. It's a top class field though and we've plenty of runners to cheer on our side."
