The Rocket has showcased some of his best snooker in Berlin this week, showing mental strength and superb break-building ability in coming from behind on numerous occasions.

He produced a sensational comeback from 4-0 down to beat Andrew Higginson 5-4 in round one and that proved to be the catalyst for a good run in the event.

Wins over Joe Perry and a another fightback from 3-1 to defeat Matthew Stevens in the last round handed Ronnie much needed ranking points and improved his chances of remaining in the top 16 before the World Championship cut off.

He is 10/11 favourite to win his first televised ranking title for more than two years but faces a tricky Semi-Final against an in-form Lee.

Wiltshire cueist Lee, whose flawless cue action is regarded as the most natural in the game, has enjoyed a fine spell in recent months and is likely to firmly test O'Sullivan today.

He knocked out defending champion Mark Williams to reach this stage and will be out to cause another major upset this afternoon.

The duo notably met in the 2006 Masters Semi-Final over the same format, with O'Sullivan taking a dramatic 6-5 victory.

They have met just once in a PTC since then and three-time world champion O'Sullivan will be hoping he can maintain his 100% record (5/5) in major compeition against Lee by booking his place in Sunday's final.

The bookmakers make Ronnie the firm favourite at 1/4 however, with Lee priced at 11/4 with Bet365.

The match begins at 1pm and will be streamed live over the best of 11 frames from the Tempodrom, Berlin.
