Former Masters champion Mark Selby faces Shaun Murphy in the second mouthwatering tie of the day for the right to face John Higgins in Saturday Semi-Finals.

The pair are renowned for being two of the game's great entertainers and are good friends off the baize, but all that will be brushed aside as the vie to go one step closer to snooker's most presitigious invitational title.

Selby has been one of the form horses on the circuit this season, scooping three titles and taking over as world number one.
 
He brushed past Stephen Lee in the first round but faces a much trickier test against former world champion Shaun Murphy next.
 
The Magician has also shone on the tour, winning snooker's first ever tournament in Brazil - the 2011 Brazil Masters. He is yet to get beyond this stage of the event in his six previous appearances at the Masters.
 
The duo met at the same stage of the Shanghai Masters in September, with Selby taking a narrow 5-4 victory en route to glory in China that week.
