The second round lineup will be known by the end of the afternoon session, with the first of the last 16 ties commencing at 7pm.

The feature game in the morning sees two of China's bright young stars collide as multiple major winner Ding Junhui faces Yu De Lu.

UK Champion Judd Trump is also in action against Wildcard qualifier Paul Davison, while all eyes will be on recent Masters champion Neil Robertson, as he faces Scotland's Marcus Campbell.

The stand-out game at 7pm sees an all-Scottish affair as Stephen Maguire takes on reigning world champion John Higgins to kick off the last 16.

Both players are clinical break-builders and are likely to provide a thriller in front of a bumper crowd tonight.

Ricky Walden will be out for revenge when he meets Shaun Muprhy; The Magician beat Walden in the UK Championship Quarter-Finals and their re-match later promises to be a classic, with both cueing superbly in recent events.

The action gets underway at 9am GMT, with selected matches being streamed live over the best of nine frames from the Tempodrom, Berlin.
