An abundance of amateur and professional players will head to Sheffield this week in an attempt to qualify for the China Open.

The players will compete over four days at the World Snooker Academy in a bid to secure qualification for the final stages in Beijing next month.

Among those in action include people's champion Jimmy White, legend Steve Davis and seven-time world champion Stephen Hendry.

A host of young stars will also be eyeing a place in the lucrative ranking event including Jamie Jones and Jack Lisowski.

All matches will be played over the best of nine frames, with selected games being streamed live each day.
