We have already seen some fantastically entertaining matches at the 2012 Welsh Open and we have four beauties lined up on Friday as eight of the world’s top snooker players battle it out for a place in the semi-finals.

Ronnie O’Sullivan and Judd Trump are arguably the two most exciting players in world snooker and they will be locking horns at 1.30pm, with Trump having beaten the Rocket 6-2 at the Masters in January.

The bookmakers are finding it hard to split the pair, with bet365 making Ronnie the slight favourite at the time of writing although there could be a flood of money for his opponents in the hours before the match.

Meanwhile, Shaun Murphy takes on Mark Allen in the other afternoon contest, while there are two exciting matches tonight. Ding Junhui is favourite to beat Stephen Lee, although the bookies are finding it harder to split the in-form Stephen Maguire and Mark Selby.
