Snooker legends Jimmy White and Steve Davis are among the stars to take to the baize in round two of qualifying for the German Masters ranking event.

The qualifying stages has reached round two, with the remaining players needing to win just two more games to book their places in Germany next year.

The Whirlwind Jimmy White takes on Stuart Carrington in the first set of matches for the right to face Peter Ebdon on Friday.

Also in action at 10am is six time world champion Steve Davis, who faces Robert Milkins. The Nugget will be hoping to reproduce the form which saw him recent qualify for the UK Championship.

PTC 3 winner Ben Woollaston is in action, alongside other promising youngsters Sam Cragie and Jamie Jones.

Teessider Mike Dunn produced a stunning 147 break in his opener and has regained his top form following a recent illness. He faces Adam Wicheard at 2.30pm for the right to play Mark King in round three.

The match between Andrew Pagett and James Wattana will be of interest to many, with the prize for the winner a showdown against Crucible King Stephen Hendry in the all important third round.

Other notable ties include an all Asian encounter between Liu Chang and Liang Wembo, as well as Anthony Hamilton versus veteran Joe Swail.

Action gets underway from 10am, with selected matches being streamed live over the best of nine frames from the World Snooker Academy, Sheffield.
